Kawan Kitchen Saturday Morning Breakfast ~

Dear all  KAWAN KITCHEN CUSTOMERS
Don't forget this Saturday morning ( May 17th, 2014 ), Kawan Kitchen will present : Special Pancake Combo Breakfast ...
Start from 08.00 am - 11.00 am ...
Please come and join with us ....Thanks and GBU ...
We had invited Endah & her family to join us for a American breakfast - yes in Indonesia!  And it was fun to introduce Endah and her daughter Diva and son Muhummad to it!

Shelly walked in with Simon and Sophie too ~  so she joined us as well!

Diva enjoyed her pancake and finished her plate!

Muhammad was busy playing with all the kids at the toy table - but came over to eat his pancake too!

Great picture Endah and Muhammad!  Very nice!
Deborah & Gordon walked in too - and so many others - a great meeting place on a Saturday morning!

The Dutchies - Kristian & Lianne too sat at the table. ~ I was so glad to have Endah join us ~ Yeah Endah!
And look how she comes....yes all 3 on the motorbike!

OK - now be careful on that bike!  But Endah has been doing a long time - and the kids are use to it too!

Saturday afternoon is Language Club again in our kampung!  Word is getting around that the foreigners are invited to come share conversational English with the Club...and the group keeps growing!  So much fun!  Neighbors, and also from other villages are coming for the 2 hours...and it is really helpful to just speak with one another - with a theme.
A layout was printed of streets and building in town - and we are to share with directions how to get from one place to the other:   "I leave the City Building and turn left...and then I go straight to Main Street and then I make a right turn and go to the intersection and then make a left turn again on 5th Avenue to the Pharmacy"
Nick is in a group ~
...and Deborah is in a group ~

And Gordon too & Joy too~
Afterwards people have the opportunity to stand and speak what they have learned - it helps to speak out loud - and help one another converse better!  It sure forces me (the foreigners have to say the directions in bahasa Indonesian!) ouch!

Sunday morning ~  It was a special day because many students were graduating and heading back to the States - and families would be departing soon for leave to the States or others going on to other islands ~

So we prayed for the High Schoolers ~

 ....and also 6th graders.....

The families that are going back to the States for the Summer break........

We enjoyed a special morning with our "Dutchie" group!  Kristian & Lianne joined us this morning and Ewout & Liesbeth and Albert too were there...so we had a great time of Bible Study together!  Wow can you imagine...Dutch/English all mixed together...and hearing God's Word read in the Dutch language...pretty cool!!!!  I like these Dutchies - ha!  As you can see 'our' Beppie was there too!
After service we all headed home - and there was some of our friends heading out for some lunch!
Aan up front (part of our welcoming committee friends!) and he had behind him Daniel & Henk who have just arrived here from China and will also be taking the 9 month language course!
Behind them is Rio, Jessica & Joy - again our "welcoming committee"  friends- oh how we treasure them as friends!!!!  Aan is a Elementary School Teacher!  So what do you think of 3 on a motorbike?????????? Yep - no problem here!!!!!!!!

So we wake up to find this out on the porch ............

Nick says it is a moth....no...not that big Nico?????

So creepy looking?????????????

To me it looks like a dead bat!  But it was alive - just sitting there....and I put my sandal there to give you an idea how large it was....creepy!!!!!  A moth?????

Our sweet Endah was outside with our neighbor Pak Gimin patching up the driveway!  Boy what care we have here in Dukuh!!!!!  Pak Rachmad her father and his daughter Endah take good care of us!!!!   We have been in good hands these months and we have so loved our neighbors and neighborhood!
