Weekend - Again ......in Salatiga!

Weekend -already!  Yes and for you in the States - soon you will be gathering around the table celebrating Thanksgiving on the 28th!

 Such a special time of the year!  Friends, family, good food and just entering into this season of Thankfulness - and preparing our hearts for the Christmas season and why we celebrate it!  Yes - we have much to be grateful for!

We enjoyed having company in our house last evening...what a treat to have Elisha and Beppie over for dinner!  We were spoiled with their company - sharing back and forth!  For them it was the Himalayas for many years - up in a high elevation!  Hearing the stories -!  A very special treat to have them over for dinner!

 So cute...... - they both came on their own motorcycles - and so' comfortable doing so! They drove them right into the garage! I want to ride it just that way!  Glad I already got my first practice in!

 Beppie brought us some special Dutch "homemade" speculaas cookies...LEKKER!  and a special unfamiliar fruit...kind of pear/apple taste -oh I must get that name again!

                                                 I got some candles at the store too....YES!  

I am learning to work within my means in the kitchen - simple as it is - it is working just fine!

See the two plastic stools? Yes they are used for our coffee table - works just fine for now!  We found a piece of wood in the garage and "ti-dah" perfect to put our coffee and snacks on it- and a little touch with a dish towel to complete it!  We are camping out just fine!






Today Nick & I ran an errand - to the Department store here in town - Ramayana ~ And there it was...Christmas Trees for sale!  What a JOY to see! Yes all fixed up and ready to buy with all the decorations on them!  Lights flashing - a large sign on them "Merry Christmas!"

Wow...Nick & I smiled - it was sweet to see and wonderful to know it too is celebrated here!

Should we buy just a tiny one Nick????
