Oh My Goodness - We have been so spoiled today!!!!

Today was "the Day" we would have to return the scooter to the person we have rented it from these past 2 months!  We knew the young man wanted it back - he was thankful for the 2 months rental payment so he could pay down his motorbike - but after 2 months he was anxious to get it back again!

The last 2 days Nick & I had shopped around...going on the local Facebook of  the locals here in town...and going by shops.  We did a little homework.  We did  have a recommendation to go to a shop where the owner & his wife speak Dutch.  They have lived in Holland with their daughter for 14 years.  David & Swanny and their daughter Joke had lived in Breda - they returned to Indonesia 10 years ago, and now sell motorbikes here in town.

So we went there yesterday...and we were able to come to an agreement with them on 2 Suzuki motorbikes - a smaller size for me, and a larger size (like the Yamaha was) for Nick.

We chatted with David & Swanny and heard their story - and they heard ours - and then before you knew it - they sent a staff person off with some money to go and run a errand...and he came back with some Nasi Rames!  Oh my....I have to be careful when we mention something...because they were so kind to want to please us with a nice lunch!  ...and Delicious it was!!!!!

Then today we came there to sign papers and they had another box and drinks for us again...this time lemper! Oh can a person say "no" to lemper????? Tidak!  It was a BIG "YA" Yes! How sweet huh...we sat there in the office enjoying our favorite snack and enjoying our talk with them again!

Well - Swanny enjoyed her years in Holland - and remembers how convenient everything was there.  Their family is all here in Salatiga - and for that reason they came back.  But she has dear memories of her years there....and David & Joke their daughter too!

Well it started to rain - really hard and we had to wait to go home - the staff would follow us home with the bikes.  Finally it slowed down enough outside to go for it! And we did!  But it continued to rain all afternoon - so no riding around yet...gosh!  But here are some pictures to share with you!  As soon as we got home - and settled in - like 20 minutes....!

.... here comes the owner of the Yamaha - to claim his motorbike back...talk about good timing!  We were so very thankful to our Lord for directing everything so  s m o o t h l y  - such great timing!  And David and Swanny were ever so gracious and helpful to us - and we will be able to sell it back to them after our 6 months extension - is that not the sweetest ever?????!!!! Yes we are very thankful for all this kindness and God's provision!

Hey my little sis has ridden a motorcycle for years...BIG sis too wants to ride!  Thankfully though this one is automatic...there is enough to do getting in & out through town in the traffic - so both Nick & I took the automatic bikes.
Does Ellen look Happy?  You bet she IS!!!!! Can't wait to "zip" around on it!  Well I will ride carefully - so slow zipping?....Oh my....so' much fun!!!!
Yep- this is MY bike...can you believe it?

OK..OK... Jim you know ...Ellen right? Ha!

We were looking for a Poncho for me in the store and found this one!
How funny is that????? Cute huh?
What a chuckle! Just had to take a picture of it...never seen that before!!!
This is for real!
