Singapore - Round 2 - We're Back!!!!
BIG!
We grabbed went through customs - and off we went to the airport shuttle bus that took us to the MRT Subway to get us into downtown Singapore! We had used the subway before and so it was great to use it again - and this time we only had our back-packs with us - so easy to make some changes to get to our hotel!
Well the time is one hour ahead in Singapore - so arrival time was 1:40 pm - it was getting busy already on the subway's!
We found our change over to connect with another subway train to the area called "Little India" which was truly a part of town where many Indian/Pakistani people lived! When we were here before we stayed in the Chinese district - so this time we tried the Indian area! We are price conscientious when it comes to Singapore - because we have to stay here a few days to get those visa's extended for another 2 months!
We dropped off our back packs at the hotel - and wandered over to a close by mall -
It was Saturday and there was music going on - people were following the lead of a person
doing some music steps and - it was fun to see them all synchronized and in step!
I noticed they all had some special shoe on that they used for this kind of dancing!
Don't recall seeing them before!
You might say - "oh another Mall?" But the weather is HOT in Singapore and - going to a Mall is COoL!!!!
Oh yes right across the street from our Hotel Arianne - we have this store called Mustafa Centre Little India - Mustafa Centre WOW - this place is literally 2 blocks long - unbelievable LARGE! And we found a lot of American products there too! But busy!!!! Busy!!!!!!!! Loads and Loads of people! It was so busy - it looked all of India was shopping there! And people/carts/children/ - it back to back - through the store we went! When we went to the cash register - they gave us our groceries with a "tie-strap" on it~ they were worried that people would add "additional" items into their bags and that is because the store was so full of people - it was hard to keep track of thief's I guess! There was security people at the doors and they checked to see if the tie strap was on the bag!
