We got into the van...a couple sat behind us from Amsterdam...Jeff & Nicole...also visiting the islands and Bangkok for 3 weeks! The others were Aussie's!
We unloaded at the dock and stood in line and while we waiting...a couple in front of us were friendly and we chatted a bit too....they are Irish and just love Thailand...and were back for the 3rd time! They were in their 50's I think. They too were planning to stay for a few days and then hop the to the other island Koh Tao as well - Maggie and Irwin...very very nice...Irwin is a kite-surfer and said this was the perfect island to do so! Oh I love to watch that..."where are you staying so we can go watch you?"
People get on these ferry's and baggage and everyone is in happy mood...
...piles of backpacks, suitcases getting lugged on and off...all day from island to island!
There sits Irwin & Maggie - she shared with me that she is dealing with cancer...but we had to board the boat - so couldn't talk with her anymore. Did share with her just a little bit about "Paul" and his healing and she said it gave her goose bumps to hear it! Maybe we will meet again on this island...I hope so! 
Look here...side by side...the people going to Koh Tao...boarded our ferry and walked through it to the other ferry...interesting huh!

| We arrived on Koh Phangan within an hour and walked off the pier to a "tuk-tuk" and several of us 8 - passengers all paid 150 Baht each to deliver us and suitcases on the top rack of the car...oh my goodness you guys...watch your back with ours! |
This island seems smaller and the roads more narrow...and passengers were dropped off in little developments here and there...Nick & I were the last ones ~
Nick and I are wondering...hmm where are "we" heading to and what will our place look like that we booked on line yesterday??? All these other people were dropped off in very small developments....hmmmm????
Online it looked OK...supposedly on the beach right Nick? 
Well what would you say to RIGHT ON THE BEACH....? 
YES!
Checked in ~ and then wandered down this pathway right onto the beach...
The hotel...it is way big.....
We strolled along 
the beach 
and saw some other cute places along the way....again right on the beach....with hammock's hanging out front!
Had Yao seems to be a small bay with this Bay View hotel on it and kind of cozy and private actually. We walked up to the main road and we would need a scooter to get around...it is much more private and serene here at this island.
Nick & I were famished...yes it had been quite early when we last ate...
and while we had dinner...we had company under the table...he came to lie down right under our table...snoozed while we ate! OK...whatever! You are welcome Thai doggy!
Our server wanted us to take a picture of him with "papa" and he called me "mama" I have been called that a whole lot here in Thailand...might be a sign of respect to us ... yes I will go ahead and say it: "elderly" but I do think they look at us kind of different anyway with backpacks on our backs - they show respect calling us that...oh well..OK OK it is their custom Nick says....hey I can just hear you all laughing about right now as you read this!!!

Yes - so many wonderful vegetable dishes...we are two happy campers Nick & I!
Can you believe this again Nick? Island # 2 just as nice? My we are so ever spoiled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this really happening? Are we really really here in Thailand experiencing all this????????????
Yes we feel blessed! Our room is on the 2nd floor and it is very roomy!
We brought our laundry away and we think we might take another stroll on the beach or have some dessert and coffee in the restaurant ~ Good night dear friends and family!
