Last Day on Agistri & Traveling from Agistri to Aegina Island

Aegina See Link ~

This morning we enjoyed a breakfast on our cozy balcony~  We had some fruit & yogurt and Nick went to the bakery and bought a raisin bread ~  All Right breakfast is serviced Nico!  Join me on the balcony will you?

We checked out with our host & hostess Spyros & his wife Vaso and thanked them for a very pleasurable stay in their Studio apartments!  They were so nice & took excellent care for us!  Their daughter in law Theodora was so cute!

They work hard..look how cute their business card is...made of flowers!

Toxotis Studio's
We were heading out to one other island today...and stay there 2 days ~

We walked back towards the harbor - and sat down close by the pier to have a cup of coffee and wait on the boat to arrive.

Such a pretty menu!
We had about a 50 min wait...and again, just sitting there looking here & there is always a pleasure!

ordered a omelette to share!  Perfect!
The boat arrived about 15 min later then scheduled...and loads and loads of people & cars came off the Ferry boat...LOADS! Gosh it seemed like the whole boat was on overload! And they were all arriving this Saturday morning at 11:15 am here to the little island!

We walked on...and yes it is July Summer time high-season right now!

It was a 20 min ride. The water a deep blue....so beautiful...and so inviting!

When we arrived on Aegina Island ...it was busy again...only this time 2 Ferry boats arrived!
People didn't push though..it all went pretty relaxed people disembarking and other getting on to take the boat to the mainland again!  Wonderful to see all the activity...families, couples - people enjoying themselves!  How nice huh to live so close to these islands and then take your kids for the weekend away from the busyness of Athens & the big City!
We took our time - no hurry for us!  We just waited and then found a taxi - thinking our studio apartment was close by in this little town...but it was not - it was on the opposite side of the island and our taxi driver "Leo" headed out of town...and we wondered "where the heck are you going???"  But then we realized that the name of the town was different then the name of the other place we were going...oh well...no problem - let's just see where we end up huh Nico?  You just never know???!!!

When we arrived here in Agina Marina - it was cute & quaint...and a little older town.

We could see that this side of the island had been hurt possibly more by the economy struggles Greece too has gone through.  There were empty shops in many side streets.  Sylvia's Studio's, which we had booked on Agoda.com was also older but cute.  Just off of the main shopping street...good!

We had a kitchenette & balcony, air cond & only one flight of stairs up with the suitcases... (that is important ha!)

We relaxed for while in the room & then went for a walk..to see this cute little village!  We ended up by the beach and found a darling place to sit and have late lunch - we saw this crazy big yacht
out in the water and
This "silver bullet" looking boat was out there...and it was amazing!  Nick checked on it on Google and found this boat to rent...read up on it...$10,000 a week?  Does that fit your budget???

How cute it was here!  We just sat & enjoyed the surrounding - again!  And the Caesar salad was scrumptous...and the grilled veggies too!  A delicious lunch!

We were surprised to see a smaller Ferry come in on the pier near by...hmmm...we thought we had to take the taxi back again...but this might be a serious option when it is time to leave here????!!!!!

Yes we can surely check that out - Nick said!

I did a little shopping & nosing around ~  Ellen Likes!
Did find something very cute in a specialty shop...OK splurge...just a little...Thank you Nico!!!!

We had a really nice time of sharing with the storekeeper Sylva & her husband George!  They were very kind & friendly!  They are both silversmiths & work in the Summer here on the island and otherwise in Athens making jewelry during the year!  Yes I found a cute bracelet...called "infinity"

Nick & I enjoyed our time with them both ~

Well we napped for a while...and then went out much later in the evening & strolled around
along the beach and checked out the smaller Ferry & schedules etc. The evening is so nice
& the soft breezed feels so good!

The two big boats were docked on the pier for the evening!
I love the lighting with Sundown in the pictures...pretty huh?
Families out and about...people eat late
here...so everything gets really busy anytime fro 7:00 - 11:00 pm!

We found a cute place close to our apartment and sat down from some coffee & a light snack!  Sitting there watching people stroll by and enjoying a really good  cappuccino - ah they make them so good here in Greece...nice & strong...a full flavor!

Time to relax, shower and get some shut-eye..!

And Yes.....We have decided to go back to Piraeus tomorrow Sunday instead of doing the "rush" on Monday which would be: Ferry, Subway, and Airport check in all before the flight that departs at 12 noon...do you think that might be a little smarter??????

Oh gosh just look how cute and inviting this is??!!!!
