Woke up and took a last picture out from our balcony! So pretty out there...and the Sun was shining brightly - yeah!
We headed out to the car - and headed this time to Innsbruck - we will have to be there today so that we can find a hotel, book a train to Basel Switzerland and return the rental car!
So of we went - enjoying the day again...in beautiful Tirol!
Just some pretty snaps on our trip...to share with you!
Loved these adorable homes...so much detail...and most everyone proudly has the flowers on their balcony!
Again we went from village to village going through mountain passes that connected you to the next village...always seeing many ski areas along the way! Many of these chalets are hotels and bed & breakfast places and are open to their Summer guests & Winter guests. Our chalet said they close for one month and then re-open for the winter season again!
We passed on the road a Fiat 500 classic...one that I have driven myself long ago! Fun little cars...it was jammed with 4 people in there!
The people were going on a hike...and the guide was dressed in his lederhosen! Cute!
Do you see the waterfall over to the right? Oh it was a BIG one!
This was interesting to read...about the cows ~
We were driving through the National Park Hohe Tauern ~ so we paid a fee to drive through the pass~
....and we had "company" on the road.......and they were BIG, fat and very healthy looking!!!
The graze in the mountains during the Summer are free to roam! They just sat there and looked at us...and paid no attention to cars or motorcycles...or buses! The bell around their neck just rang when they moved their heads...
I think they know the season is coming to an end and the farmer soon will be laying out their hay on the road...to draw them back!

We decided to stop for a cup of coffee and stretch our legs...we were in the town of Schwaz!

We enjoyed driving to Innsbruck...seeing such beauty!
Oh we have so loved this part of our trip...driving through these little towns...you get such a great & good impression of Austria!
They are a very clean & tidy people...and have a lot of pride of ownership! Everything is so pretty...the streets - the homes - just an over all beautiful area we have seen from Vienna to Innsbruck!

Downtown closes early because of the weekend...so things began to quiet down~
But we had had a long day - and were glad to get to our room after coming back by bus from the airport to return the car.
We have enjoyed the city...and see lots of beautiful buildings and squares - but we are both drawn to the mountains!
Hey Look Here Kevin & Gwen....I see a real familiar name!!!! Right here in Innsbruck!!!

We enjoyed the afternoon and early evening & checked into our hotel, found a train to Basel & booked it and even brought the rental car back this evening so we wouldn't have to deal with it in the morning!
