We stayed one night in Aachen close on the border of Germany & Holland ~ and woke up to head into Holland~ Pretty neat ! We went into town for a moment to have a bite to eat ~ A very cute town Aachen!
We found a cute bakery and had a coffee & a small sandwich - ah felt good to sit before we headed out again~
....and then....on the road again....
...."Holland here we come!!!!"
Hey there is the turn off for Holland...no we are not going to Antwerp Belguim...the other direction ~ yes!
So pretty on the road...all so well maintained and it was a nice morning!
We had already connected with Margreet & Cor her husband - so off we went...following the directions she had given us...!
Nederland.....The Netherlands....YES!!!!! We have arrived....the almost complete route around the world...and the last stop Holland!!!
My birth place!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So exciting!
We stopped in Heerlen to get some items before going to Margreet...and all at once I see all these Dutch words again...."Home" yes it was nice to read the Dutch again!!
Heerleen too was cute...and they had a very large shopping center...nice!

Then we found Margreet & Cor's house....hey we have arrived...how nice that was!!!!!
They had a lovely home...with a front & backyard...2 stories and a nice garage & driveway parking - very nice indeed!
Margreet had given us instruction and then she decided to go out and look for us...oh Margreet you are so kind....but we are here!!!!!!

Cousin meets cousin again....so nice!!!
You can certainly see a resemblance in the Diemel faces huh???? I did not get a picture of Cor...he was busy in the kitchen fixing snacks & dinner too for us...next time Cor!!!! He took care of us so well!!! Margreet took us to see her one daughters house...had to go take care of the cats while she was on vacation with her children! Then we went over to her other daughters house and met Mitzi & Mart who had purchased a very cute "miner's house" and remodeled and updated it!
Wow - they added a garage too! Mart had purchased old bricks from a old farm house that had been torn down & he added the bricks as new facia to the walls of this original house...oh it was adorable!
Put in a yard and a BBQ area...did so much...really really adorable!! How handy Mart is!!!

It was wonderful to meet them and see Margreet & Cor again - it has been at least 9 yrs!
We plan to reconnect again soon...meeting the other cousins in the north part of Holland!!!
Back on the road again...and we stopped in Dordrecht close to Rotterdam for the night~ Tomorrow The Hague & family there...here we come!!! Yes one more night!!!!
Yes we had some rain that evening!
