Friends & Family ~

We invited Tineke over and also Martin for a visit!  Both Tineke and Martin were good friends and they knew each other when we were all very young!

So always have enough to talk about!  We enjoyed having them over in our little cozy studio apartment!

 ******************************

On Friday evening Nick & I were invited to come visit with Lex & Marja - Milou's family and we had a really nice evening!  I had met them 2 years ago...and this time Nick got a chance to meet then too!  Skyler spends every Friday there with her "Oma & Opa" and that is so nice.  And then another day- Tuesday's  with her other "Opa & Oma" - so everyone gets a chance to enjoy Skyler!

One of her cousin's gave her a pair of rubber boots with pretty flowers on them!  How nice is that!  Keep it in the family!

Pink rubber boots with a pretty flower...".Look Skyler"  says Opa!!!

Here's the family......Jas with Milou and Marja - Marja & Lex son Rogier & Eveline - Rogier & Eveline soon will be having their own little girl!

We had a really nice evening!

It makes me so happy to know Jason, Milou and Skyler have family around him to support them!

Skyler decided the visiting was over...she fell sound asleep on the couch!

Sweet little Skyler - how I love you!

 **************************************

Saturday morning Jas & Skyler came by and we took a nice walk to the park close by!  This park is just gorgeous and it has a nice playground that little girls enjoy and also a pancake house!  So that is just what we did....playground FIRST and then pancakes!

We admired the trees...so large and so old...surely 300+ years!

The little creeks everywhere makes every park in Holland so beautiful!  The reflections are so pretty!

Yes Papa shows Skyler how to do it - again so cute to see my son being a Dad!  What a treat for this Mom to see!  Makes my heart so happy and so proud!!!

I just can't get over how beautiful the parks/woods are...the trees - grounds - gorgeous!!!

Do you get a picture of it...I bet I can't really get it into the picture...but so much want to share it with you!

OK Skyler...around and around you go!!!!

Jas saw a old acquaintance...a student from his International School days when Jas first arrived in Holland!  James now has a little boy of his own...and they were getting caught up after 15 years of not seeing one another!  How fun is that!  Jas says he is now a "rocket scientist" very smart!
The pancake house was at one time the "caretaker's house"  Wow how cute...right in the middle of this property!  We enjoyed a good cup of coffee and some "poffertjes" and Jas had a "uitsmijter" and Skyler enjoyed it all!

Don't you Skyler????  Just look at those blue eyes...and just look how she looks upon her OMA!!!!
                              Melt Melt Melt!!!!

Notice the roof?

This is a very old and large tree...can you tell?

In this park was a mansion...that was lived in by a family at one time....now it is used as a meeting place.
We saw this beautiful creek...and the trees...and just had to take a picture of it!

Hey Jas....I want a picture of you and Skyler!!!  Love it!!

A Great smile Jas!!!!  My handsome son with his pretty little girl!

The sign says it "Old Dutch Park"

We had a nice morning...and then Jas & Skyler went off...Jas was going to meet some buddies in town later that afternoon!  Mom was working!

                                   ************************************************
That afternoon we returned the bikes we had rented for a week back to the Train station...and walked into town and then walked back to the apartment!

We walked along very cute houses along the way and even came across a Indonesian restaurant....should we? Should we not?  Well that wasn't to hard to decide....of course we did!

And....And....was it good?????  Enak Sakali....which was DELICIOUS!  Yum...the best!
