Nick & I decided to leave with our borrowed car to see some sights and also visit our friend Beppie in Doornspijk before she heads back to Indonesia!
So off we went and decided to drive to North Holland - north of
Amsterdam & see the towns of Monnickendam, Marken and Volendam~
Eel is a Dutch delight....here the fisherman is hanging them to dry.

September 6th they will have an outdoor market - I would like this! But how do I bring it all back?????

We moved on to next town called Marken - this other harbor town is also very well known in Holland. We had to drive along a dike and then to the very end - was the town of Marken!
Just look at the sights all around! We see so many people on bikes...Holland is well known for its bike trails...all the bike roads EVERYWHERE are paved...every road - really! And a person can enjoy riding or driving your car somewhere...and the parking it and go for a wonderful tour...so many people do! There is this booklet you can buy that has every bike tour in all of Holland - pretty neat huh? People put the map on their handle bar and follow these routes!
