This is Nick's cousin Els - and we had the pleasure to visit her again in Hilversum! We enjoyed out visit & Nick had a chance to look through some albums from the family...the Diemel family! Els and her brother Gerard and Margriet - all live in Holland!
She has a love for poodles!
"Treasure" was 6 years young!
Nick & I enjoyed our time with her - it has been 9 years since we last saw her and she is doing really well!

We decided early afternoon to take a nice ride back through the countryside again from Hilversum back to the highway eventually! We would the river "Vecht"
We "discovered" this area...by just turning off on a road...it turned out to be a lovely area with larger homes and mansions! Blaricum is one of the towns we traveled along! The road was narrow along the river...but being in a little car...easy to manuver - people are used to weaving in and out on these small roads....so smart to have a small car in Holland!
We just kept following the river ..along the pretty towns...oh what a treat it was...just a beautiful day and we saw so many pretty areas!
Love to do it this way!!!!
A whole bunch of 'dune buggy" past us along the way...must be a club meeting and taking a ride along the river & farmland too!
We saw this draw bridge...and then a few boats came up to it and then they opened it up! How neat to see it happen!
Nick & I stopped to have some coffee and some bitterballen at this cute terrace along the river! People had come biking...or with the car...enjoying the weather and the cute area!
It seemed quite popular this area!
Must be an important house...they have their coat of arms above the door!
The bridge went up...and the
boats came.....!
It was around 7 pm and this boat came by all lighted up - people were enjoying a glass of wine and leisurely floating down the Vecht! Music was playing too!
Blaricum Very Nice!
Guess we won't be able to go in there to check it out!?!
Another great day - seeing new places! How fun! We eventually came to the highway and off we went to Utrecht and then followed signs to Den Haag!
Heading Home!
